6.18.15: LIZZY MAY GORDON

"'I can't do this alone. I need someone to cry with.'...'I can't believe she's leaving. Everyone else, yeah, but her, no'"

Lizzy May Gordon is a born and bred Chicagoan, theater director and CPS school teacher on the south side with the largest heart for bringing out the genius in everyone. She's spent the past two years with Teach For America teaching the young 'uns and this past year she started a poetry club. Last summer she helped direct a local Chicago production of Much Ado About Nothing, and this summer she is directing the play Eurydice. There will be more information on the Playing By the Hours Blog on when you can go see the show, in the meantime you can look at the website for the company, The Inglenook Project, here.

In the meantime, Lizzy gave us an intimate look at her second to last day teaching this year:

A Q & A about Lizzy's journey as a CPS teacher will soon be available on the blog.
